There are four areas of personal development, Physical, Intellectual, Spiritual, and Social. When Jesus was a youth, we learn in Luke 2:52 that he grew in these four areas:
“Jesus grew in stature and wisdom, and in favor with God and man.”
How Biblical Development Is Different. It’s Physical, Intellectual, Spiritual, and Social
- Physical development results from proper nutrition, regular exercise, adequate rest, and avoiding substances that abuse the body.
- Intellectual development comes from study and training, as I’m doing in these Actions.
- Spiritual development comes from prayer, study of the Word, participating with fellow believers in worship in my church, volunteering in ministries and serving God.
- Social development comes from reaching out and helping brothers and sisters in Godly relationships.
God gives us the opportunity for personal development in these four ways.
You have great potential in each of these areas.
Concentrate on one or two areas for a while. But strike a balance between all four.
Notice that the homepage has dozens of Actions you can take to change your life in all four areas of personal development..
Through your mission in life, all four of these areas come together.
